Voice, Body, & the Self - A Weekend Workshop
Taught by Jeffrey Crockett
(Head of Voice at ACT, Certified Alexander Instructor)
Accessing authentic impulses and expressing one's deeper truth are necessary elements to the creative life. Through a deepening attentiveness to the movement of breath, the wisdom inherent in our body emerges in voice and movement. Using hands-on techniques and movement, we elicit the experience of the breath that reveals authentic expression.

Shakespeare Weekend Intensive
Taught by Lisa Ann Porter
Students will be immersed in the physical, vocal, emotional, imaginative and thoughtful world of Shakespeare’s texts. Strengthen and develop your breath, body and voice connection to the text. Ignite your personal connection to the text and allow the words to transform them into the character and their circumstances. Hone your ability to become specific and daring while unearthing all the clues within the structure of the verse. Come with a verse monologue that you know by heart. Some cold reading of scenes will also be introduced.
